I just finished the first three episodes of the new David Fincher series on Netflix. It stars Johnathan Groff as Holden Ford, the FBI agent who, along with his partner Bill Tench (Holt McCallany), revolutionized the field of criminology by delving into the minds of the psychopaths to gain insights into motivations of budding and developing serial killers resulting in catching them before they can kill again.
This a rich nugget of a series that’s a strange slow burn that sucks you in to the point where you can find yourself in the mind of a serial killer and it is familiar. I can’t wait to finish this series.
New find: Cameron Britton as Edmund Kemper. A haunting oscar worthy performance (if AMPAS would ever acknowledge the Internet as a qualifying venue for consideration) that would stand up to anything Anthony Hopkins would put up on the screen.
